Who we are

A Calgary software company with engineers around the world

We build and look after software for organizations across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. We're registered in Canada, Ghana and Nigeria.

How JOMACS started

JOMACS was started by seven engineers of African origin who were working across North America and Europe. We'd seen what a career in tech can do for a family and a community, and how many talented people never get a fair shot at one.

Today we do two things. We build new software for our clients, and we look after it once it's live. Our engineers work from all over the world, and client relationships are run from our head office in Calgary.

Our engineers work on international projects for competitive pay, with help for equipment and internet. Our clients get a dedicated team at a fair price, and one person to talk to.

Where we are

Our head office is in Calgary, and we have offices in Accra and Abuja. Our clients are across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, and our engineers work from all over the world, to the same standards and with the same tools.

How we work with you

Every client has a Customer Success Manager. They're your main contact, they keep an eye on the quality of our work, and they help you decide what to do next.

  • Build

    New software starts with a dedicated team and an estimate we agree with you.

  • Run

    At launch, your system moves onto a monthly or yearly retainer, looked after by the same people.

  • Improve

    Your Customer Success Manager suggests what to improve next, and bigger changes go back to the build team.

Johnson Nuviadenu

Co-founder and managing director

Johnson has spent more than ten years building and securing production systems for governments, banks and fast-growing companies, with work in the UK, the Netherlands, the United States and Canada. He is completing a PhD in computer science at the University of South Africa, where his research covers software engineering and AI.

He has an MSc from the University of Strathclyde and a BA from the University of Ghana, and is VP for Technology and Innovation at the Africa Centre for Technology Policy and Law (ACTPOL).
