Who we are

JOMACS IT Solutions Inc. ("JOMACS", "we") runs this website. Our head office is at 1800 Edenwold Heights NW, Calgary, AB T3A 3V2, Canada. This policy explains what we collect through the website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect and why

We only collect what you choose to send us through the two forms on this site.

• Contact form: your name, work email, the topic you choose and your message, plus your organization, phone number, any links you share and how you heard about us, if you give them. We use them to reply to you and to talk about the work you asked about.
• Talent network application: your name, email, country, city, main role, years of experience, your LinkedIn profile, a link to your work if you give one, how you heard about us if you tell us, what you tell us about a project, and your CV as a PDF. We use them to review your application, invite you to an interview and match you with client projects.

Both forms ask you to agree to this policy before you send them. We don't use what you send for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with advertisers.

How we handle it

When you send a form, your details go to a small service we run on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which emails them to the JOMACS mailbox and sends you a short email to confirm we received them. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace. We keep messages and applications in that mailbox for as long as we need them to reply to you, to work with you, or to consider you for projects.

So that the forms can't be used to send repeated emails to someone, we send at most one confirmation a day to each address. To do that we keep a scrambled code made from your email address (not the address itself) for up to two days.

CVs are also held in a private storage bucket on AWS for up to 180 days, then deleted automatically. The AWS services we use for this are in the United States. Only the JOMACS staff who need your details can see them.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. To deliver the site and protect it from abuse, our hosting provider processes technical details such as your IP address. The forms service keeps short technical logs for 30 days, and they don't include your name, email, message or CV.

Other websites

We link to other websites, such as LinkedIn and our own products. Their privacy policies apply when you use them.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, including your CV. Email info@jomacsit.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
